Acorn Gymnastics Club is a weekend club that can be found in Ewell on Fridays & Saturdays, and Effingham on Sundays. We are a recreational club offering gymnastics to children aged between 4 and 14 who would like to train between 45 minutes and 2 hours a week.

We are a friendly, family club that is mindful of the fact that children attend with friends and siblings and parents share lifts.
Acorn was set up in 1987 by Patricia Gale at St Clements School in Ewell. The club moved to The Rainbow Centre in 1992. In 2001 Acorn moved to the Harrier Centre in Ewell where it has remained ever since. Luke Gale extended classes and now the club operates on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as Sundays in Effingham.

Acorn Gymnastics Club is a general recreational gymnastics that exists to promote the sport of gymnastics in its local community. The club is open to children of all ages, gender, ethnic background and physical ability.

The club also encourages gymnasts to partake in regional competitions. Outstanding and potential elite gymnasts will be referred to clubs with Elite squads when outstanding potential talent is identified.

Although we are a recreational club operating primarily to increase childrens general physical ability and confidence in a fun and safe environment, we regularly compete in local competitions. We have had great success in coaching children to an ability to compete at a top recreational level and offer ALL our children the chance to compete. We enter two competitions throughout the academic year: The Flair Regional Guildford Spectrum Competition held in October and our own club competition held at the end of March.

At the most recent South East & Surrey competitions, Acorn achieved a magnificent 2nd place.
